This website uses first-party analytics to understand readership and improve the website. Analytics collection begins when a page loads. A Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser prevents these analytics requests.
Information collected
- Pages viewed, visit times and active time while the page is visible.
- Links clicked on this website, including whether they lead to another website.
- IP address, browser user agent, referring page and an approximate city, region and country supplied by the hosting network.
- Random browser and session identifiers. These do not contain your name or email address.
Purpose and access
The information is used to understand readership and improve the website. Raw analytics records are available only through a password-protected administrator dashboard and are not sold or published.
Retention and accuracy
Analytics records are retained for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically. City-level locations are estimates derived from network information and may be inaccurate, particularly when a VPN, relay or corporate network is used.
Your choices
You can prevent analytics collection by enabling Global Privacy Control in a compatible browser. Clearing this website’s local storage resets the random browser identifier. You may also request access to or deletion of records that can reasonably be identified as yours by emailing shhu7334@uni.sydney.edu.au.
